“Like being in a dream”
Called Curiosity Cloud, Katharina Mischer and Thomas Traxler’s installation for Perrier-Jouët consists of 264 suspended blown-glass bulbs, each of which contains a hand-made model of an insect.
The installation lies dormant when there’s nobody around. But the bulbs light up and the insects inside start fluttering against the glass as soon as visitors get close.

JENUFA of Leoš Janáček – Όπερα Γενούφα
Με τη Γενούφα του Λέος Γιάνατσεκ, ένα από τα σημαντικότερα αριστουργήματα του 20ού αιώνα -για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα-, ανοίγει η καλλιτεχνική περίοδος 2018/19 για την Εθνική Λυρική Σκηνή, στις 14 Οκτωβρίου, σε μουσική διεύθυνση του Λουκά Καρυτινού και σκηνοθεσία της Νίκολα Ράαμπ.
Η Γενούφα, η “τέλεια όπερα”, όπως την χαρακτήρισε πρόσφατα ο Guardian, ξεπέρασε τα όρια του σύγχρονου ρεπερτορίου και επιβλήθηκε στα μεγαλύτερα θέατρα του κόσμου, χάρη στον λυρισμό, τη συναισθηματική της ειλικρίνεια, τη μεγαλειώδη μουσική που της χάρισε ο σπουδαίος Τσέχος συνθέτης Λέος Γιάνατσεκ και την υπόθεσή της, έντονα δραματική και ταυτόχρονα βαθιά ανθρώπινη.
With the JENUFA of Leoš Janáček, one of the most important masterpieces of the 20th century – for the first time in Greece – the 2018/19 artistic period opens for the National Opera on 14 October, under the direction of Loukas Karytinos and directed by Nicholas Rabb.
Genius, the “perfect opera”, as the Guardian recently described it, surpassed the limits of the modern repertoire and was imposed on the world’s biggest theaters, thanks to its lyricism, emotional honesty, grandiose music awarded to the great Czech composer Leoš Janáček and her case, dramatically dramatic and deeply human.

Several times, we are also going through the Thomas infidelity stage that we are asking for evidence to convince … Human to challenge one’s words. Besides, in our society, trustworthiness is considered a malady. So we ask for evidence. We do not mean to believe if we do not “palpate” by put the finger into the print of the nails.
It is the need of man for “appreciable” testimony. Time, life, and death are conditional when we want it beyond every stupid fear of the unexpected, the extraordinary, the new coming.
Αρκετές φορές περνάμε και εμείς από το στάδιο της απιστίας του Θωμά που ζητάμε αποδείξεις ώστε να πειστούμε… Ανθρώπινο να αμφισβητούμε τα λεγόμενα κάποιου. Άλλωστε στην κοινωνία μας ο ευκολόπιστος θεωρείται βλάξ. Έτσι ζητάμε αποδείξεις. Δεν εννοούμε να πιστέψουμε εάν δεν «ψηλαφίσουμε» επί των τύπων των ηλών. Είναι η ανάγκη του ανθρώπου για την «αισθητή» μαρτυρία. Ο χρόνος, η ζωή και ο θάνατος είναι υπό αίρεση όταν το θελήσουμε εμείς πέρα από κάθε ηλίθιο φόβο απέναντι στο απροσδόκητο, το εξαιρετικό, το καινούριο που έρχεται.
