……A heart can not turn to stone when there’s a spark of love,

let the beauty of your tomorrows fly in like a white dove.

There’s another out there waiting to show you they care,
keep an open heart and allow them to step in and to share.

Dark Internet Fairy Tales: The Big, Bad Wolves of Social Media

.

I want to share a true story of a really true friend of mine Manessah B.

She says :

There are many great and wonderful people online and, unfortunately, there are monsters too. I’m learning to embrace every experience and try to find the good out of every situation, even the painful ones. This experience taught me that I should be more careful with my heart, especially online, but at the same time it taught me that my heart was not completely closed like I thought.

Once upon a time…

A young woman ventured into cyber woods and found shelter on WordPress.  In her possession was a basket filled with poetry and prose ready to be shared with the world.  She eagerly placed all of her poems and thoughts on the window sill of her blog like freshly baked pies and waited for the scent to attract the attention of other digital forest dwellers.

The young woman smiled with glee, as people came to sample her words, but in the midst of her happiness tragedy struck. Just days after starting her blog, she received news that a man she cared deeply for had passed away.  The poor woman was already recovering from two major surgeries and coping with her second close Continue reading

Marianne North – The painter of the world’s plants

.

Marianne North

Rather than projecting ugliness and corruption, it would not be better to learn about people who fought in any way to leave something to the next to be worth ????

In 1860, Marianne North, an amateur gardener and painter, crossed the ocean to America, carrying brushes, paints, a cane, and her love for flowers. He then traveled to Jamaica, Peru, Japan, India and Australia. He visited all the continents except Antarctica, looking for new flowers to paint. “I was impressed by the variety of subjects I could draw,” she wrote.

Marianne North (24 October 1830 – 30 August 1890) was a prolific English Victorian biologist and botanical artist, notable for her plant and landscape paintings, her extensive foreign travels, her writings, her plant discoveries and the creation of her gallery at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
