We pay too little attention to teaching children from an early age, that other religions, other customs and beliefs should be respected.

These are my thoughts exactly and i have posted on a similar theme more than once, particularly on the Jigsaw/Big Picture concept.
There can not be only ‘One way’ to the Truth for all of humanity. There are many levels of truth that each one of us may need many ‘way’s to find throughout our lives in order to get closer to it. 🙂
Hope you are well. 🙂

Good morning Bob from rainy Athens!! I am fine thank you!!!
Culture is a set of beliefs that a region or group has learnt over thousands of years. Culture includes ideas about art and music, as well as bigger ideas about religion and society. Celebrations, rituals, and traditions are all culture. Culture brings groups of people together so they can feel part of a big history. It is very important.
“Unity in diversity”!!!

I am more of a science minded kind of guy.
I have never really felt like i was a part of any big Culture. I feel ‘outside’ of any Culture.
The only thing i really feel a part of is our Human Race… and sometimes it is not a nice feeling seeing some of the things it’s members do to each other.

In my opinion human race is the creator of culture .. and i believe that we must learn and respect everyone’s culture … that’s i am trying to say…
Respect and love …. the humans and their cultures….

So love all religious it is. Even if it’s bereft of logic😅

The truth is like any other subject religion is also a subject that should be accepted with proofs and logics.
That is what should be done.Reading learning thinking educating urself is important before driving urself to a conclusion in any subject.
But the common problem with the case of religion is that people think religion is what is inherited.Like it is something genetically inherited.
They keep on following what was followed down their generations without putting much thought.
Even if they remain confused about what they follow they remain ignorant all their lives.

Christianity is bereft of logic. Once you’re talking about “faith” you can’t be logical.

Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, “Don’t do it!” He said, “Nobody loves me.” I said, “God loves you. Do you believe in God?”
He said, “Yes.”
I said, “Are you a Christian or a Jew?” He said, “A Christian.” I said, “Me, too!
Protestant or Catholic?” He said, “Protestant.” I said, “Me, too! What franchise?” He said, “Baptist.” I said, “Me, too!
Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?” He said, “Northern Baptist.” I said, “Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?”
He said, “Northern Conservative Baptist.” I said, “Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?”
He said, “Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region.” I said, “Me, too!”
Northern Conservative†Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?” He said, “Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912.”
I said, “Die, heretic!” And I pushed him over.
