Life is inherently risky. There is only one big risk you should avoid at all costs, and that is the risk of doing nothing.

    They flutter behind you your possible pasts

    Some bright-eyed and crazy some frightened and lost

    A warning to anyone still in command

    Of their possible future to take care

    In derelict sidings the poppies entwine

    With cattle trucks lying in wait for the next time

    Do you remember me? How we used to be?

    Do you think we should be closer?

    • There is always “what if…” floating in the head: “what if I fail; what if I lose all my money; what if I am making a wrong decision,” and so on. There is a rational kernel in all those hesitations. And so, very often, we might be at the crossroads and never know what decision to make. There is always a dilemma: to take a risk and later reap the benefits of one’s courage and action, or not to risk one’s stability?

      There is a proverb, which sounds in Ukrainian: “He who doesn’t risk, doesn’t drink champagne” with the analogy in English “nothing ventured, nothing gained.”
