Τόσα χρόνια μετά   από την πρώτη του έκδοση, η ιστορία του Ντόριαν παραμένει μέχρι και σήμερα ένα γοητευτικό παραμύθι που εξιτάρει τις αισθήσεις και την φαντασία μας.

Το ψυχογράφημα του ανθρώπου μπροστά στην αλλοίωση και στον θάνατο.

Το σύμβολο της αιώνιας νιότης που παρασύρεται και γίνεται έρμαιο των σαρκικών απολαύσεων χωρίς φραγμούς και κυρίως, χωρίς να ενδιαφέρεται για τις συνέπειες.

Ένα μάθημα για το που μπορεί να φτάσει ο άνθρωπος και για το κατά πόσο μπορεί να αντέξει τις συνέπειες των επιλογών του. Ένα μάθημα ζωής που αντέχει μέχρι και σήμερα.
