Children are the Victims of Adult Vices

Thirteen sculptures in central Moscow graphically depicting vices of the modern world

 

 

In 2001, Russian artist Mihail Chemiakin constructed an unusual sculpture, “Children are the Victims of Adult Vices,” depicting two unaware children playing as 13 evil statues surround them.

The 13 “evil” sculptures depict alcoholism, exploitation of child labour, indifference, drug addiction, prostitution, sadism, ignorance, pseudoscience, war, poverty, theft, capitol punishment, and advocating violence.

Sensory play is any activity that stimulates children’s senses: touch, smell, taste, sight and hearing. Stimulating the senses helps children develop thinking, language, social-emotional, and physical skills.

Though sensory play, children explore and naturally use scientific processes while they play, investigate, create and discover new sensations.

Bee in the city – Manchester – England

“Η μέλισσα στην πόλη”, είναι μια εγκατάσταση με περισσότερα από 100 γιγαντιαία γλυπτά μέλισσας.

Κάθε μέλισσα έχει σχεδιαστεί και διακοσμηθεί ξεχωριστά για να αντικατοπτρίζει την πόλη, τη βιομηχανική της κληρονομιά και τη μουσική της σκηνή!

 

Bee in the city, a display of more than 100 giant bee sculptures, is being installed in locations across the city to create an arts trail. Each bee has been individually designed and decorated to reflect the city, its industrial heritage and music scene!
